The UK ITF will aim to select the top 1 or 2 competitors in a given category to represent the UK at the ITF Worlds Championships 2014. The UK ITF will endeavour to sponsor UK ITF direct members selected for TeamUK provided they meet the criteria outlined in this document (and accompanying UK ITF Ranking, Selection, Sponsorship Policy). UK ITF Sponsorship may be either via a club, a region or by the central UK ITF, and may be partial or full depending on sponsorship criteria.
The Sponsorship decision-tree below determines an individual competitor’s eligibility for sponsorship, should they be selected for TeamUK. If a competitor does not fulfil these criteria then they will be required to self-fund.
Disclaimer
Eligibility for UK ITF sponsorship is determined on a case-by-case basis. Sponsorship will be for the individual competitor only (no accompanying travel companion) and cover direct travel (from the airport to airport), accommodation costs for the duration of the Championships, and any other specific items as communicated by the UK ITF (e.g. sport insurance). Additional sundry costs such as sustenance, clothing, sports equipment etc will not be included in the sponsorship.
Should a competitor leave the UK ITF or voluntarily withdraw from a Championship for any reason other than a serious medical or personal issue, then they are liable to repay the UK ITF any sponsorship monies received/paid.
